I've waited for this final movie in the Human Centipede trilogy for years. The first two movies were great horror flicks and I'm a big fan of those films.
First Sequence presented this sick idea and Dieter Laser played the legendary monster Dr. Heiter, and even if it was low on gore it worked very well creating rather uncomfortable pictures in your head, much like the legendary The Texas Chainsaw Massacre did. Movies that will stay with you forever is something that rarely happens now-a-days.
Full Sequence was in black and white and did the impossible of being just as great as the original. Laurence R. Harvey played Martin, a retarded fan of the original movie that lived out his dream. The black and white pictures worked very well with the grotesque violence and gore that was offered this time around.
Final Sequence sees the colors return and so do the two main actors from the first two movies, but both playing different roles here. It all takes place in an American prison where Dieter plays Bill Boss, the prison warden, and Laurence plays Dwight Butler, who is his accountant. Also starring is former porn star Bree Olson as Daisy. Hell, even Tom Six stars in his own movie.
What Tom Six should have concluded immediately after entering his own movie, is that it completely and utterly sucks. It is horribly bad. Sure there is some gore, torture, castration, sex, rape, executions and mutilations. But it is not convincing at all, and it looks like a bloody school play performed by C-grade "actors". The whole setting with a mad warden of this prison makes no sense at all, since nobody would allow this to go on in the real world. The first two movies were much more realistic to some extend, while perhaps not entirely 100% medically accurate.
The dialogue is stupid, but most of all, Dieter Laser is incredibly annoying. He overacts to the extreme, and screams and talks bullshit constantly. How can he go from playing the awesome Dr. Heiter to this mess of a character? Why the hell didn't they stop him and guide him back on track? Probably because everybody else suck as well. Bree sucks dick, but at least she is convincing at that, and while Laurence doesn't play his best character ever, at least he isn't annoying. To make it even worse, the Human Centipede and the Human Caterpillar aren't seen until near the end of the movie, and then they aren't even being used much for any fun and games.
Of course Tom Six may have tried to create some kind of parody on the whole thing, but if that is the case, then it fails too, simply because it isn't really funny, it is just plain annoying and/or stupid. I will never watch this shitty let-down of a movie again. I'll pretend it never happened and just put on one of the first two movies, if I want a dose of the good old Human Centipede again.
