Taken 3 [2015]

Bryan Mills [Liam Neeson] is once again a one man army - this time trying to clear himself from a crime he didn't commit. Actually he does get some help from his old trusted colleagues and his daughter Kim [Maggie Grace] of course.

Taken 1 [2008] was a raw and brutal movie that you instantly fell in love with. Taken 3 is a soft family movie rated PG-13 and you won't see a drop of blood no matter if a neck is sliced or a man is shot down with a shotgun. The car chases and the many fights also look a bit, I don't know, low budget perhaps? The plot is rather simple and you never get the feeling that something is at stake. It's just business as usual in a rather slow and comfortable tempo.

What still works is that we like the Mills family and care about them. But why rip out all the movie's teeth and ensure that even kids can watch this tame shit without being scared? It's hard not to feel a bit disappointed when leaving the cinema. It ends here? I kinda hope it does...
