Resident Evil - Trilogy [Movie Review]

Resident Evil - Trilogy

I never got to see any of the Resident Evil movies until just recently. I guess I was afraid that it would be another computer game turned into a horrible horror/action movie. I am glad to admit that I was totally wrong. Milla Jovovich is very hot and plays great as our heroine Alice.

"Resident Evil":

The first movie is really great and takes place in the typical first shooter computer game labyrinth of laboratories and narrow hallways. It looks and works excellent. The story with vira, genetic experiments, biological weapons, a huge multi national corporation and evil professors is not bad at all. Also the idea of the super computer with a little girl as it's hologram interface is cool and you'll get tons of great zombies and monsters.

"Apocalypse":

The second movie takes us outside in the city after everything has gone horribly wrong and the action continues with lots of action, fantastic monsters, fights and suspense. It is perhaps not quite as good as the first movie, but it is not bad at all, and still you'll swallow every second.

"Extinction":

The third movie takes place after the whole planet has been infected by the nasty virus, and it has much of a cool Mad Max feel to it. The few non-zombie survivors drive around in trucks in the desert landscapes and try to stay alive best as they can. Alice has gotten a lot stronger, and this time she makes full use of her scionic powers that we first discovered near the end of the second movie. Best thing is that there is every possibility to make a fourth movie, should they wish to do so. (I hope they do.)
