So this is a relaunch of the Predator series (no Aliens involved here). This time we visit a planet that is being used as a hunting preserve and - guess what - our protagonists are being hunted by predators - big surprise! ;)
Take it for what it is - an action movie - and you won't be disappointed. It is kind of a b-movie but most of the FX and action is well done. You will see plenty of predators and fights, the cast does an okay job and the dialogue is - while not exactly smart or wise - funny and entertaining.
I'm not totally pleased with the fact that the predators seemed a bit too easy to kill and not smart enough. If you compare to the original(1987) version, the single predator in that movie would have been a tougher opponent that all 3 predators + "dogs" in Predators(2010). Even if the 2010 collection of human prey are so bad ass or not.
Oh yeah, it builds up perfectly for a sequel. What did you expect?
