Pretty entertaining action thriller that I just grabbed on HBO Max, after having decided not to watch it in the cinema earlier in the year, because of the very long runtime. Despite the long runtime it manages to keep a good pace through the movie and the movie is quite funny too. The acting is very good for all the main characters.
Bob [Leonardo DiCaprio] now lives undercover with his daughter Charlene/Willa [Chase Infiniti], because of a lot of bad shit Bob did in his past, when he was with Charlene's mom Perfidia [Teyana Taylor]. Soon the past will catch up with Bob, and he finds himself hunted by Col. Steven J. Lockjaw [Sean Penn] and a lot of police and military forces. Bob and Charlene are soon on the run and the rest of the movie's runtime deals with the 2 of them trying to escape.
If you only judge this movie from an entertainment point of view then it is really well made. What makes it problematic for me is the way it deals with left-wing terrorism, illegal immigrants and people aiding these. It has a very left-wing bias, and at some point you are asking yourself if some of the movie's villains, The Christmas Adventurers Club, is really such a bad club, if this is what they are up against?
Bob is not a good person and he doesn't deserve any good ending. His daughter turns out to be yet another woke radical leftist. Basically it is impossible to feel sympathy for any of the "good guys" in this movie. Another pile of left-wing biased shit right out of Hollywood. I'm glad I didn't drag my fat ass to the cinema for this one. All hail Saint Nick.
