Nick Cave & Warren Ellis - "White Lunar", CD, [2009] [Record Review]

Nick Cave & Warren Ellis - White Lunar

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have released a 2cd album with a selection of songs from their various movie soundtracks. It is mainly soundscapes and it is quite different from the music released by The Bad Seeds.

I've found great pleasure in falling asleep to the 2 full length albums that they'd released before this one (Proposition and Assassination) and their soundscapes have some way of calming me down and slowing my breath while drifting into dreamland.

It wouldn't normally be a good thing to judge an album by how well it works as a sleeping pill, but in this case it actually is. I like it.

(Extra bonus info: I LOVED The Proposition movie, but I think that The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford movie was far too long and not a great movie in any way.)
