Motörhead – The Löst Tapes Vol. 1 (Live In Madrid 1995)

Finally a "new" Motörhead live recording that is worth buying. It's a limited release for Black Friday 2021 on red 2LP vinyl. It's (probably) a direct to tape recording done in Madrid in 1995. The sound quality is not perfect, but it is pretty good for a recording of this type and I expected it to have way lower quality. After you have been listening for a few minutes, you'll forget all about sound quality and get into the raw energy, speed and madness that made Motörhead one of the wildest live experiences back then and certainly the loudest.

The setlist is on pure hellfire and Lemmy, Mikkey and Phil are clearly enjoying hammering thru it at ludicrous speed and louder than fuck. Among the many highlights are "Burner", "Orgasmatron", "Dog Face Boy" (dedicated to Phil), "Lost in The Ozone" and (the mighty) "Silver Machine".

This is a brilliant testament of how great Motörhead was back then and I'll recommend it to any Motörhead fan - especially if you enjoy this particular time in Motörhead history as much as I do.
