Motörhead - "Kiss of Death", CD, [2006] [Record Review]

Motörhead - Kiss of Death

Let it be known that Lemmy, Phil and Mikkey have created one bloody great album. It is good clean rock and roll and it really rocks like fucking hell.

It opens with a blast in "Sucker" and continues in the fast lane with the next 3 tracks ("One night Stand", "Devil I know", "Trigger".) The tempo slows a bit in the blues "Under the Gun" and even more in "God was Never On Your Side" which sounds a bit like "Lost in the Ozone" from the 1993 album "Bastards".

Further rock in the 4 tracks "Living in the Past", "Christine", "Sword of Glory" and "Be my Baby". The double plus heavy "Kingdom of the Worm" is slower and really cool.

The album ends with the fast "Going Down" - or well, it doesn't quite end really, because the limited edition contains one more rocker for you: Metallica's "Whiplash". You better get the limited edition since it is yet another ultra speed hardcore rocker that you wouldn't want to do without.

This is the most consistent Motörhead album in a long while and they have never sounded better. If you only buy one Motörhead album in 2006 - buy this one!
