Miley Cyrus : "Something Beautiful", Cinema, [2025]

It was a very nice experience to watch the visual side of Miley's new album "Something Beautiful" [2025] in the cinema today. It is basically a 13 track music video that features the songs of the album in the same order. Don't expect it to have a plot or to tell a story, it is a visual fantasy fueled by music.

The movie is shot very professionally and with great images and visuals. All lyrics were featured as subtitles or overlay. The focus is mainly on Miley performing the songs while wearing various costumes and sometimes not much more than her underwear. It is music videos, meaning it is not a live performance, although it sometimes looks a bit like it. Miley is super sexy and incredibly fit, so it is a pleasure to watch, no doubt about it.

Also present in the videos is the drummer Maxx Morando, who also happens to be Miley's boyfriend. "Walk Of Fame" features Brittany Howard and "Every Girl You've Ever Loved" features Naomi Campbell, exactly like the songs on the album. Judging from the applause in the cinema, I am not the only one who really loves the song "Every Girl You've Ever Loved".

The cinema was nearly sold out and it was a lively audience of fans including what was likely a few boyfriends/girlfriends who had been dragged along to witness the wonder. The audience applauded many times during the movie, particularly before and after the catchier hit songs.

It wasn't the biggest venue in the cinema complex which was great for me since I had only managed to get a seat in the front row. This turned out to be pretty cool though. The sound was great and loud, nothing in front of me to distract and with the screen really close, it felt like being part of the movie. It is much better to experience a music movie in the cinema like this, because at home it usually just becomes background images that run while you do a lot of other stuff. In the cinema you stay focused and enjoy the whole experience much better.

I liked Miley's new album when I heard it the first time and I haven't stopped playing it since. It is super consistent and a joy to listen to from beginning to end. Having had this visual side added to it certainly doesn't make me enjoy it any less. Miley Cyrus rules and she knows it!

MILEY! MILEY!! MILEY!!!
