Kim Wilde - "Never Say Never", CD, [2006] [Record Review]

Kim Wilde - Never Say Never

I bought this one just to check out Kim's new sound. It is an album consisting of re-recorded old songs and new ones as well. The cd is produced by Nena bandmember Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen and it sounds very consistent. If you don't mind euro-disco then you'll probably like it. The problems begin if you play this one and then grab an old compilation for the comparison. Trust me, the old one wins easily.

"Perfect Girl", "You Came", "You Keep Me Hanging' On" (with Nena) and "Kids In America (with Charlotte Hatherley)" are well worth a listen or 2 though and if you buy the special edition you'll get an extra DVD disc with the "You Came" music video and an interview as well.

I'm looking forward to Kim's visit in Copenhagen in February. She did really well when I saw her in 2003. However I think most people is making the wiser choice by playing their old Kim Wilde collections rather than buying this one.
