Well, what do I know? I had kinda expected to hate this movie just like I hated the first "Jurassic World" [2015], but somehow I didn't. It's not a great movie, but it is entertaining and all the dinosaur action is a real blast.
Isla Nublar is about to self destruct by lava, but before that happens, our heroes Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) help some rich and (as it turns out) evil men save as many of the dinos as possible before it's all too late.
Owen and Claire get some help from a young dino-expert named Zia (Daniella Pineda) and a young and very annoying data-cliché named Justice (Franklin Webb). They all end up on a mansion where - yes, you've guessed it - life finds a way or the dinos find a way to fuck things up.
Bryce can be rather annoying at times, but Franklin easily wins that prize in this movie. Just bite his head off, damnit! Any annoying kids then? Not really. Isabella Sermon does a good job as Benjamin Lockwood's grand-daughter.
The real stars are of course the dinos. All the old favorites are back, including Blue the Velociraptor. Just as expected, we also get a new super-dinosaur. This time it's an Indoraptor, and nope, it's not a Veggiesaurus.
If you like dinosaurs and non-stop action, and you can survive some rather hysterical moments and a few annoying actors and clichés, it's actually pretty fine entertainment. It didn't suck. Another thing that doesn't suck is the new "Jurassic World Evolution" computer game. I'm addicted to it at the moment and it totally rules!
