Jello Biafra is back with a new band and he still sounds very pissed off. If you loved Dead Kennedys and like Jello's weird "whining" voice there's a good chance you'll like this new album a lot. It sounds very much like Dead Kennedys of old with some added metal elements.
Jello still smacks, punches and kicks at all things stupid or wrong in America and (whether you agree with all of it or not) he's still entertaining as ever. Politicians from Bush to Obama are targeted and so are the Threee Strikes law, shitty jobs and the Big Brother society based on fear that we also know all too well here in Europe.
The cd includes a small poster with all lyrics printed as well as funny newspaper lines like "man texting while driving hits man texting while walking." The cd cover artwork is a modified "Hope" poster that was being used in Obama's election campaign. The modified poster was even created by the original artist Shepard Fairey.
