If you like Jason And The Scorchers (and who doesn't?!) you should check out this Best Of collection of solo material from Jason Ringenberg. It's a 2cd release where disc 2 holds the more alternate stuff.
It contains a lot of his own songs, it contain a few songs from his Farmer Jason children's records (e.g. Punk Rock Skunk), it contains a lot of alternative Scorchers songs (Bible And A Gun, Broken Whiskey Glass, Help There's A Fire and more.)
When you know the great songs released with The Scorchers, you will be happy to learn that a large percentage of the songs the man has made as a solo artist are really just as great. The songs are a bit more country oriented but they rock just the same and the lyrics are also good.
In fact I find this Best Of album so good that I just ordered 4 more Ringenberg solo albums from his website. I'm sure there are lots more gems on them that didn't fit in on this Best Of album. When I ordered the Best Of album Jason was kind enough to include an autograph as well.
