The newest album by outlaw country rebel Hank Williams III is Hank as we know him. Singing about alcohol and drugs related problems and generally telling the story of men and women at the bottom of society, but always with humor and great love, simply because he is a rebel within and therefore it is always honest.
The album is a bit slow at times and it could perhaps have used just a few more up tempo songs, but it wins when you play it for a while, and boring it never is with song titles like: Getting Drunk And Fallin' Down.
I still can't help smiling over the last song on the album Drinkin' Over Momma that tells the story about a family where the mom has left them after she started smokin' crack at the age of sixty one.
Well I'm gonna have to find paw a good woman,
Cause he's startin' to look just like a bag of bones.
She's gonna have to clean all those shotguns
And skin those critters we bring home.
