An alternate version of the Cinderella fairy tale. It is a dark comedy with explicit body horror elements. I had hoped it would be even more grotesque, more fun and more extreme. It is a bit too long and the pace could be better.
The Norwegian actors do an okay job and it is not a bad movie. The tape worm scene is great fun and very extreme. I don't think the movie will have much replay value, and ultimately I had expected a bit more from it than I got.
The does have a feministic point of view but it is not a problem. In fact it is more about insane beauty ideals than anything else.
The best thing about watching it at the cinema today was that I had the entire cinema to myself. Being all alone at the cinema is simply awesome. Too bad it doesn't happen more often.
