Demonaz - "March Of The Norse", CD, [2011] [Record Review]

Demonaz - March Of The Norse

This is a fantastic new album from the hidden "secret" fourth member of Immortal: Demonaz. It's all about Mountains, Men with swords, Gods, Battle, Ice and Fire!

A raw vocal like that of Immortal's Abbath combined with a massive rhythm section that fucking rocks. Apart from that it sounds like Immortal meets Iron Maiden meaning that the guitar work is amazing. It is much more melodic than you would expect from Immortal or any other black metal band. It is like symphonies and marches of great beauty mixed with an intense rhythm section.

The songs are way too melodical to ever fit onto an Immortal album, but just equally great to the latest Immortal masterpiece "All Shall Fall" [2009]. It is true awesomeness from the dark cold North they call Norway or is it Blashyrkh?

If you don't believe me, then check out songs: "March Of The Norse", "A Son Of The Sword", "Under The Great Fires", "Over The Mountains" - just to highlight a few.

If you think that Demonaz is only a good writer of lyrics then listen to this album and find out why he is much more than that. I can easily understand why Immortal still reckon him a member of the band even if he no longer goes on stage with the other 3 guys.

This is black metal you can dance to. This is fucking awesome and recommended! Available on cd, vinyl and picture disc.
