Disneyland After Dark have never sounded better than they do at the moment. Jesper and Jacob Binzer, Stig Pedersen and Laust Sonne are a very tight unit and they know how to ignite a party and keep it rockin' from beginning to end.
I'll never become a fan of Ballerup Super Arena which is a cold and charmless and industrial looking place, but to be honest the sound was excellent, although they could have cranked up the volume just a bit more (especially when the support band was playing. You could barely hear Supercharger.) There was almost no pushing and people were really into it and knew all the lyrics.
It was pretty much a greatest hits setlist, and the newer material from Monster Philosophy worked just as great as the old crowd pleasers. Jacob is excellent on his guitar, Laust is fantastic on the drums, Stig has the most visually impressive bass collection in the world (poor bass tech that'll have to tune and adjust all those 2-string things) and Jesper is hilarious when he introduces the songs with great humour.
I don't think the arena was sold out, but we were quite a large crowd of true believers present and I think most people were more than satisfied when the concert ended more than 2 hours later with last song It's After Dark. Indeed a worthy 25 years anniversary gig.
