Time for yet another "The Conjuring" spin-off. This third Annabelle movie takes place after the first two Annabelle movies, and it mainly takes place in the Warrens' home where the doll is kept locked up in a cabinet. The Warrens [Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson] are away from home and a young girl, Mary Ellen [Madison Iseman] babysits the Warrens' daughter, Judy [Mckenna Grace].
Mary Ellen's friend, Daniela Rios [Katie Sarife] joins them and she manages to start a demonic freak show when she lets Annabelle out of her cabinet and the doll then brings all kinds of evil alive including The Ferryman, The Bride, the Samurai Armour and a Hellhound. Will the young girls survive the night and what will be left of them when the Warrens return to their home?
The movie has a simple plot, but the actors are good, there's a great threatening atmosphere, and the sound effects are nice too. The climax does feel a bit disappointing, but all in all it's a decent movie that stays entertaining for most of the ride.
Compared to the other 2 Annabelle movies, "Annabelle Comes Home" is a lot better than the crappy first "Annabelle" [2014], but the second "Annabelle: Creation" [2017] is by far the best of the three.
