2 support bands kicked off friday night's show. I didn't catch the name of the first support band but number two was Annihilator.
Annihilator:
It seemed that the crowd knew Annihilator well. They were very cool when they played their faster and heavier songs. The problem was that they also played some slow songs where the vocal sounded a bit like a pig being slaughtered while it was trying it's best to sing. Very uneven indeed.
Trivium:
Trivium rocked the house for sure, but I must admit that I'm never going to become a big fan. They seem to be in need of some better melodies and after a while it gets too monotonous and too much of the same. I wouldn't say that they played a bad concert. I'm just saying that it isn't the kind of music that I would like to listen to for more than a couple of tracks at a time. Anyway, the crowd seemed to like them a lot so maybe it's just a matter of taste.
