Very funny horror comedy with lots of laughs, when our protagonists make their way through America to Los Angeles and Hollywood, while fighting off zombies who have more or less taken over the world and eaten most of the human population and/or turned them into zombies.
It is not the greatest or most complicated movie ever, but zombies are always fine comedy material since they are very stupid in the first place. I am even willing to accept that they run in this movie (something zombies never do) since it is a comedy.
Jesse Eisenberg is good as Columbus the geek and Woody Harrelson is great as the natural born zombie killing redneck Tallahassee. The 2 girls Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin are also good as Wichita and Little Rock. Whether you like Bill Murray or not you'll be satisfied either way since he plays a fine little part in the movie, when they visit his Hollywood home.
Being a comedy it is not over the top violent and it is never scary, but there is still tons of zombie killings and even some gore as well. If you like zombies and you like a good laugh then you won't be disappointed with this movie.
