I had the great pleasure watching Adam Ant and his Pirate Metal Extravaganza band perform @ The Scala in London. I've been waiting to see Adam live since fucking 1983, so it's been a long wait.
Technically, it was a bit of a mixed experience. Adam didn't sing very well for parts of the gig and he also fucked up some of the lyrics, but it didn't suck at all because it was all done in a very relaxed way with lots of talking and joking and swearing between the songs and on top of that I think the new band did really well. Even if Adam seems a bit like a strange fruit he is still a born entertainer and a charming one too. So what I'm trying to say is that I think most people enjoyed the show and I know that I did.
After the last song he came back out and tried to read out from a Lemmy Kilmister autobiography for about 12 minutes. This rather strange decision combined with some interupting people in the audience made this turn into a VERY weird ending to an otherwise great show.
Below is my Zoom Q3 videos of all the songs he performed and yes I know it's a bit shaky at times, but hell, we were having an awesome time and jumping up and down and singing along.
