Very realistic and intense sniper movie based on a book by American Navy SEAL and war hero Chris Kyle [Bradley Cooper] who managed to get some 160 confirmed kills out of 255 probable kills during his 4 deploys to Iraq, making him the most lethal sniper in the U.S. military forces.
Most of the movie focuses on Chris and his team mates hunting down a Syrian terrorist swine who works for Al-Qaeda in Iraq. This human scumbag is a very skilled sniper too and not at all an easy kill.
We also see the price of going to war when Chris is back home with his family and his wife Taya [Sienna Miller]. Chris is having a hard time adjusting to normal life after his tours to the warzone.
Everything is seen from an American point of view and Chris is a true patriot, but I think it's a great portrait of how the American soldiers had to suffer a lot to protect the free world from Islamic terrorist cockroaches. What I don't get is why the U.S. doesn't just drop a lot of nuclear bombs on those shit countries and get it over with...
We should all be grateful for brave soldiers like Chris and I think the end of the movie was quite touching.
