1-2-3-4 that's it, that's the one.
Just like Lemmy would have said. Screamin' Eric are back and now we just have to make the rest of anti-rock'n'roll Denmark and "below 85 dB EU" understand this simple fact. 11 months out of the loop (due to an accident to the bassist) was not enough to kill the best live band in Copenhagen. They´re back and they have been missed!
This concert was kinda "secret" and part of a "marathon-Rock" thing with lots of upcoming bands. We did hear a few hopeless things that was too lame to even be considered music (unless you like x-factor), but the punk lineup just before Screamin' Eric deserved some applause. Not bad for a bunch of kiddypunks!
Screamin' Eric played one hell of a tight gig. Tore back on his feet providing the foundation behind the Rickenbacker bass, Peter punk behind his enormous collection of guitar pedals rocking and sliding his way through it, Mad Dog kicking the shit out of the drums and Mr. Eric himself being the rock'n'roll frontman that you have to be an idiot not to love.
The setlist had been spiced up with a few new tracks that are just as rock'n'roll as the rest of the lot. Even the fact that some silly girl had tried to kill the mixer with a glass of red wine - leaving some of the speakers halfways dead - couldn't spoil the party. Eric did his famous crowd run - this time on the top of the bar at the other end of the room, which pissed off a non-rock'n'roll dude. If you can't stand rock'n'roll dude, then please stay at home next time!
I've only got one last thing to say: if you love rock'n'roll then you'll like Screamin' Eric. If you don't, then you wouldn't know a true rock band, if it hit you with a 1-2-3-4 in the face.
Setlist:
Bad Boogeyman, Bad Girl, So Long, I Couldn't Care Less, Shake It, Hives-Rip, You Ain't My Girl, I Love It, I've Had It, I'm A Fool, People Like You, MC5-Rip, Let's Fuck It Up.
