KP's Top 10 of Movies ´that didn't really fit in on any of my other Top x lists´ (movie review)
10 movies that didn't really fit in on any of my other Top x lists. That in itself, has not stopped me from creating a list. The list below is ordered chronologically. Here we go:

1. "Monty Python And The Holy Grail" [1975]
This is Monty Python like we used to know and love them. From the chaotic and fucked up beginning to one of the weirdest endings in film history, this movie is one great laugh. The fight against The Black Knight, meeting The Knights Who Say NI!, Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-as-Sir Lancelot and attack of the killer rabbit. Just a few of the highlights!

2. "Top Secret" [1984]
This one is a total classic. It has a lot in common with the "Airplane!" movies, "Police Squad" and "Naked Gun". The difference is that "Top Secret" is easily the funniest of them all. It has tons and tons of super jokes and fucked up setups and even when you watch it for the 38th time you'll still find something you didn't catch the other times you saw it.

3. "Edward Scissorhands" [1990]
Tim Burton's touching movie about a poor dude (Johnny Depp) that doesn't fit in with the cruel real world and the socalled normal human beings. Obviously Tim Burton never displays a real world, but that just makes it even more absurd and sad. Fantastic movie that I only discovered recently.

4. "My Cousin Vinny" [1992]
Great comedy with Joe Pesci as Vinny and Marisa Tomei as his girlfriend Mona Lisa. Vinny has to defend and try to save 2 young boys who has been accused for a murder they didn't commit. It is a hilarious movie and both Joe Pesci and Marisa Tomei are outstanding.

5. "Unforgiven" [1992]
Clint Eastwood's excellent western. Clint Eastood has played in many western movies and many of them are cool for lots of reasons. This one is one of his best. The scene with "I'm Will Munny and I've killed women and children. I've killed everything that walks or crawls at one time or another. And I'm here to kill you, Little Bill, for what you done to Ned" is among the coolest scenes ever created. He is one mean motherfucker.

6. "Groundhog Day" [1993]
Fantastic movie about a day that just keeps repeating itself for our main character. Great plot and great acting by Bill Murray as Phil Connors who has to struggle quite a bit with getting the details right to try and win Rita's (Andie MacDowell) heart.

7. "Braveheart" [1995]
Mel Gibson's "Braveheart" is the ultimate sword fighting movie. It has never been done better than that. The fighting scenes are totally awesome, and most importantly you can actually see what is going on instead of annoying camera tricks like they did in "Gladiator" and most other sword movies. Most of this movie works incredibly well, and the story is great and universal. FREEDOM!

8. "Beavis and Butt-Head Do America" [1996]
This movie is a nice wrap-up of all that made Mike Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head so funny. It has tons of funny scenes and trademark B&B insanities. Stars like Bruce Willis and Demi Moore also do some of the dialogue.

9. "The Lord Of The Rings : The Return Of The King (3)" [2003]
Transferring this classic book into 3 movies is a major achievement by Peter Jackson. Not all of it works totally well and especially "The Two Towers (2002)" feels very long and somewhat unsatisfying. The first movie "The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)" and the last one "The Return Of The King (2003)" works however really fine. I will always love the books more than the movies, but I am still impressed by what Jackson managed to do.

10. "Team America : World Police" [2004]
Great puppet animation movie from the creators of Southpark Trey Parker and Matt Stone. It is seriously taking the piss on America, Islamic Terrorists, Kim Jong Il and Hans Blix to name a few. Puppet hardcore porn and puppet vomit galore. You name it, this movie has it all. "America, FUCK YEAH! Coming again, to save the motherfucking day yeah."
