I got this cd from a friend who hit me in the back of the head with it, but it was a pretty good toss though, since I've actually come to like it quite a bit. It is rather pop-oriented electronic drum'n'bass with a lot of distortion and noise. There's a ton of guest vocalists/artists including Enter Shikari, Jenna G and Rob Hawkins of The Automatic. It all boils down to an album of ... [read more]

I've had this record for some time now and I've played it MANY times by now. Even if I had the feeling that I liked it almost instantly, it is an album that takes quite some time to really dig into and it is very much worth the effort. I wanted to be sure about it's qualities before I tried to rate it and also I wanted to be certain if it would stand up ... [read more]

The album is right now number 1 in as many as 21 countries, including Denmark. Very impressive indeed!

Great memphis-soul album from our favourite rock'n'roll girl Sheryl Crow. It is clearly one of her best and most easily enjoyable outputs for a while and it has everything from great melodies to true emotional soul. 100 Miles From Memphis takes no time at all to get into, in fact you'll like it instantly. However much I hate Justin Timberlake, I have to admit that Sign Your Name (Terence Trent D’Arby cover) is very ... [read more]

I never really liked Mr. D’Arby. Never thought he was worthy of using the Trent name. :) So maybe you should ask a D’Arby fan if it is okay or not. I like it.

The newest album by outlaw country rebel Hank Williams III is Hank as we know him. Singing about alcohol and drugs related problems and generally telling the story of men and women at the bottom of society, but always with humor and great love, simply because he is a rebel within and therefore it is always honest. The album is a bit slow at times and it could perhaps have used just a ... [read more]

The new Prince album was given away for free with english newspaper The Daily Mirror on Saturday 2010-07-10. The same distribution strategy was being used with the 2007 release Planet Earth. 20TEN will later be released with other european newspapers and maybe it will also have a commercial (cd) release. The new Prince album is a popalbum and it is actually some of his best output for a very long time. It is easy ... [read more]

This is an unplugged EP with acoustic versions of some of the italian band Exilia's hits: Coinsidence, Stop Playing God, Fly High Butterfly, No Colours, Starseed, My Own Army. The EP also has one new track called No Tears For You that fits in okay with the rest of the lot. I'm not a particular big fan of unplugged albums, but this is surely not the worst album I've heard of acoustic remakes. Also ... [read more]

If you don't have this masterpiece in your music collection already then you don't have a great music collection and probably no good taste in music either. But having the old version is not good enough any longer. This new 3cd deluxe edition is a must buy and I tell you why: The original Disintegration cd has been remastered and sounds much better than before! There's a disc with rarities from ... The limited edition of this Slash & friends album is worth paying extra for. It includes a great 130 pages color magazine including a giant poster and a patch. The magazine has features on all participating artists. And most importantly, the limited edition includes an extra song. The album is based on music written by Slash especially for the guest artists. The guests have then written the lyrics for the songs. Generally the music ... [read more]

If you like Jason And The Scorchers (and who doesn't?!) you should check out this Best Of collection of solo material from Jason Ringenberg. It's a 2cd release where disc 2 holds the more alternate stuff.
