This is a superb comeback album from the Norwegian black metal kings Immortal. I saw them play live at Roskilde Festival 2003 and I was blown away. I've loved their album "Sons Of Northern Darkness" ever since, but this new hardrocker is even better.
Everything about it is Immortal from the aggressive drums to the symphonic guitars and the characteristic vocals from Abbath (singing the lyrics written by Demonaz). The entire album is just excellent and very consistent. Also the production suits it very well being bright and clear like a frost bite from the dark cold North.
Immortal is back with a blast and Abbath, Horgh, Apollyon and Demonaz can be very proud of this new album.
