KP says: Kim Wilde - Roskilde Kongrescenter, Live, 2019-06-06   Rating: Rating: 4/6

Kim Wilde and her 7 piece band visited Roskilde Kongrescenter last night. Her band features her brother Ricky on guitar, 2 drummers and Ricky's daughter Scarlett as background singer. The crowded venue was close to being sold-out and it was awfully hot in there. Poor Kim must have had a very hot night herself. She was wearing a tight leather-outfit for the entire show. The gig went on for about 1h45m including the encore. ... [read more]

KP says: Greta (aka Stalker) [2019]   Rating: Rating: 2/6

This movie does have some good acting by both Isabelle Huppert as Greta the stalker and Chloë Moretz as Frances the stalkee. Unfortunately that is not enough to save this movie from being disappointing. After having lured poor Frances into her trap, Greta starts terrorizing both Frances and her flatmate Erica (Maika Monroe). The first half of the movie works okay, but the second half has problems. What happens is simply never believable ... [read more]

This one is branded as a The Conjuring spin-off, but that's a stretch. Yes, there's a priest who was also in the first Annabelle[2014] movie, but that's about it. It has another thing in common with the first Annabelle though - none of them are great movies. Most of all, the movie is rather boring. The settings aren't interesting and the dialogue is cringeworthy at times. The kids are not very annoying though and ... [read more]

Well, well, well. I thought I'd had enough of Amanda's left-wing propaganda on social media sites. Then 2x Dresden Dolls happened in London in October 2018. I went to see those 2 shows. Great, not exactly awesome, too much political BS talk in between, but still it was very nice to hear the DD live again with my new friend Narkia from France. I quit Amanda's patrons site a long time ago. I like ... [read more]

I've had the great pleasure of listening to this album for more than a month now, after I bought it at Gemma's release gig in Berlin in February. Is it the best Gemma Ray release yet? Is it perfect? Is it wonderful from beginning to end? Yes, yes and yes. Her best albums so far, were "Milk For Your Motors" [2014] and "Island Fire" [2012]. Both albums were awesome, but they ... [read more]

This is a movie adaption of a Japanese cyberpunk manga series "Gunnm" created by Yukito Kishiro. It was directed by Robert Rodriguez, but a certain James Cameron has also been involved as screenplay writer and producer. The story is set in the future after some great war has laid most of the Earth to waste. Iron City is where the story takes place and above it floats the mysterious sky city Zalem. ... [read more]

I am so glad I went to see this sold-out "Psychogeology" album release party in Berlin. Gemma Ray and her 2 men and 2 women band were a total blast. Gemma on voice 'n guitar, a keyboard player, a bassist, sax 'n flute, drums 'n keys. Gemma has never sounded better live and the packed room loved every second and swallowed it all up. The band and the new album gave it all ... [read more]

Prince's former band The Revolution were behind some of the best Prince albums. Basically covering "1999" [1982] - "Sign 'Ø' The Times" [1987]. They weren't credited for all of that, but they had more than a hand in it. For those of us (sadly me) that were a year late and missed Prince in Copenhagen 1986, this was the first time ever to witness his most important band live. A chance no true Prince fan ... Clint Eastwood is both playing the main character and directing this movie. Very impressive indeed for an 88-year-old man and legend. Earl Stone has always focused on his work and neglected his family. His relations to his ex-wife and daughter are very bad. When he fails to adapt to the internet age, he loses his flower business too. He is offered a job transporting cocaine for a mexican drug cartel and soon he is ... [read more]
