KP says: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - Skeleton Tree   Rating: Rating: 2/6

The new Nick Cave album is kinda dark. It was always expected, of course, with the tragic death of one of Nick Cave's sons last year. It's however never overly depressive like David Bowie's horribly depressive last album "Blackstar" [2016] was. "Skeleton Tree" is mostly just rather monotonous, and well, kinda boring. To even call it a Bad Seeds album, is a bit of a stretch. It basically sounds like ... [read more]

Just having received the brand new Ida Nielsen CD in the snail-mail on the day of the gig, I barely had enough time to listen to it, before we had to drive to the venue. But from what I heard, it sounded great. More of the stuff from her first 2 albums and perhaps the most mature and consistent album ever from Denmark's funkiest girl slammin' a bass. We got to the venue ... [read more]

10 years ago on 2006-08-26, I wrote the first comment on this thing. Here we are 10 years and 500+ comments later. Prince is sadly dead and I still enjoy drinking Budweiser. I guess this thing has mostly turned into a place where I write reviews of movies, concerts and records. Over the years most of my activity has moved to Facebook, but this is still very much the place I ... [read more]

Yeah, this was almost as bad as the reviews said it was. It's not the worst movie of the year, but it's certainly disappointing. All that hype and nothing much to offer. Let's be honest, the only reason I watched it was to see Harley Quinn [Margot Robbie] in her sexy outfit and her total craziness. She didn't disappoint... much. Pretty much everything and everyone else did though. There are so many characters ... [read more]

I swore, I wouldn't buy, hear or see this particular release. It is a pathetic release that scumbag record executives made to cash in on our Dr. Rock. I have always had this saying though, if you don't hear and/or see it, then you are not able to express qualified hate towards it. So I drank a bunch of beers to strengthen up and banged my head into it. To make a few things ... [read more]

This time around, there is a lot of focus on 3D effects and action. I doubt it will have much appeal in 2D, so your best option is to go for 3D. The plot is totally stupid. If Scrat the squirrel in a flying saucer, an asteroid on collision course with Earth, and the most ridiculous mission to prevent certain doom, was the best the writers could come up with, then it's really ... The first ID4 movie from 1996 was certainly not a brilliant movie. But at least it was somewhat fresh and it had some nice fun and action, if only you switched off your brain while watching it. Now we're 20 years later and somebody's figured out it's time for a sequel. Once again it's directed by Roland Emmerich, and the cast is full of lousy actors, who can't act with an alien gun pointed to ... [read more]

[read more]

It's like watching Game of Thrones in the Jungle. There are stupid Stark Wolves, a smart and strong Lannister Tiger (this is India, so the Lion had to be replaced) and a funny Mormont Bear, who has stolen the Stark words, "Winter is coming!" The animation is really impressive and you immediately accept, that the animals can talk. They look incredibly real on the screen. The movie is rarely too childish and at ... [read more]

In many ways, this is business as usual by Gemma Ray. But sometimes more of the same is just fine if it's of the quality that Gemma always delivers. I knew several of the songs already, since they were in the setlist at Gemma's awesome gig last year at Copenhagen's Stengade venue. The opener "Come Caldera" and closer "Caldera, Caldera!" are found on a 7" single that comes with the ... [read more]
